Career Cruising Checklist
This is the checklist for the Electronic Career Portfolio (ECP) that all students will have to complete at Wallenpaupack HS. We have a more comprehensive checklist for students wishing to use this model for their Graduation Project.

q Complete a minimum of one entry in each category in the Activities and Abilities File
q Add work or volunteer experience if applicable
q Under the Career and Life Goals tab enter one short term S.M.A.R.T. goal for current school year
q Under the Career preparation Tab record one Career Planning activity that you completed in grade 7

q Sign up for the Spring College Fair at Wachovia Arena (Guidance)
q Sign up for the WAHS College Fair in May (Guidance)
q Attend Financial Aid program with your parents and record under the Career Preparation Tab (Guidance)
q Over the summer narrow your school choices, schedule visits and interviews, investigate entrance requirements and deadlines and save in EDP (Guidance)
q If required, complete college essays, have them reviewed by a teacher or parent, and upload them into your EPD.
q Schedule an appointment with your Guidance counselor to make sure requirements are in place for graduation (Guidance)

q If needed obtain letters of reference and upload them to your EDP (English Class)
q If recommended by your guidance counselor sign up for the FALL SAT Prep program and retake the SAT in October (Guidance)
q Complete College or Certification applications as recommended by your selected schools
q If you have not completed your senior project - schedule an appointment with Mr. Garm
q Complete the FAFSA application after January first
